Muddy walks dating

Walkers do not have to attend all of our walks but can pick and choose which walks they have time to go on. Future walks programme may include going out of County or even London walks.

We are keen to receive details of Walker's favourite walks and any other suggestions which would make our walks more enjoyable We also have an arrangement with Potters Bar U3A Walking Group where we are able to go on each other's walks without the need to join their U3A as associate members.

Shetland offers some of the finest walking in Europe, at all times of the year.

The combination of spectacular coastal scenery on both North Sea and Atlantic facing cliffs, quiet inland lochs, and gentle heathery hills is unsurpassed.

Antiquities: Easily accessible are the Hurlers and Pipers standing stones, Trethevy Quoit and King Doniert's Stones.

Less accessible are the Stripple Stones and Nine Stones circles and King Arthur's Hall.

Notice too, a Bronze Age barrow visible on the heath, the last resting place of a person, or persons, who inhabited this area 3,500 years, or so, ago.

Enjoy the gorse's yellow flowers; and the cross-leaved heath, bell heather and common heather that blooms from June to September.
